Even though the creators of Snapchat just introduced the feature of Snap Map, they’ve already come out with another feature. Now, users of the popular social media application can make custom geofilters with the new update and users of Snapchat nearby can use the same custom geofilter.

Before this update, the geofilter usually tagged the time stamp, airport or other variation of location on Snapchat. By swiping left to the end, users would find the name of the location and simply tag it to show in front of their picture. Through Snapchat’s website users could use this custom geofilter feature, but the process took a decent amount of time for the outcome.

There are only a few simple steps to make your custom geofilter with the new Snapchat update. All you have to do is create your own personal geofilter and click on the ghost icon on the top left of the screen, then tap the settings icon on the right left side. Afterwards, select the “On-Demand Geofilters” out of the list of features. From this selection, you will have various options for occasions; such as, “summer vibes.” You can additionally add extra text and emojis to make your unique custom geofilter.

One of the more unfortunate aspects of the feature has to do with the issue of cost and time, although it is much easier than before. You must set the time for it to be posted, so make sure to do this in order to finish your masterpiece. You must buy the feature two hours in advance. For your own sake, remember that the geofilters are more expensive in larger areas, as opposed to your backyard.
