Adele Might Never Tour Again

By  |

Adele recently shared that she might never go on tour again, because it isn’t for her. Should we, her fans, “give up or should we just keep chasing pavements?” We don’t know if there will ever be “someone like you”, Adele.

For Adele’s Wednesday night show at Wembley Stadium in London, she concluded her third to last concert for Album 25. She composed a handwritten letter to be included in the program of the concert, expressing her reason for ending her career on tour.

“Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn’t fit me particularly well. I’m a real homebody and I get so much joy in the small things,” she said.

Later in the note she confirmed this show might be her last.

“I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favourite artist have had on me live,” she said. “And I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don’t know if I’ll ever tour again and so I want my last time to be at home.”

Due to a series of problems as a result of Adele’s severe stage fright, this move makes sense, for the most part. Also, she will continue recording and creating albums despite the lack of live shows. Nonetheless, this news is destined to sadden Adele fans everywhere.

In her note she also stated that she performed at 119 stage shows for her album 25 tour, and the next three at Wembley Stadium would make it 123 total. It’s clear that she does this for her fans, considering she doesn’t even like to be on stage. Though we will miss her authentic stage presence and raw voice, we hope all the best for Adele and can’t wait for her next album. You’re still our “one and only,” Adele.

We expect that the formal announcement will be given on the last day of her tour.
