The last weekend of September has arrived, and some of us are scratching our heads wondering where summer (or the entire year) went… October is right around the corner, which means beer and candy, not together, of course. Gear up for the Oktoberfest happenings by starting off your celebrations at the El Cajon Oktoberfest. For all you foodies out there, there are still a couple more days to take advantage of the killer deals offered during San Diego Restaurant Week. Don’t miss the Blue Angels soar through the San Diego sky at the 64th Annual MCAS Miramar Air Show. All that and more happening this weekend in San Diego.

San Diego Restaurant Week

This weekend marks the tail-end of San Diego’s favorite culinary event, Restaurant Week. There’s still time to take advantage of this foodie-lovers dream, where over 180 participating restaurants are serving their best dishes at unbeatable prices. Happening until Sunday, September 29, restaurants will offer three-course dinner menus for $20, $30, $40, $50, or $60 per person and/or two-course lunch menus for $10, $15, $20 or $25 per person. Trivia Night Flights at Ebullition Brew Works

Don’t miss the MCAS Miramar Air Show this weekend from Friday to Sunday (9:00 am – 4:000 pm) General admission is free, guests are urged to bring their own seating.

Coasterra’s 3rd Annual Wine Festival

Coasterra is hosting the Annual Wine Festival on Saturday, one of its most popular events of the year. From 12 – 3 p.m. guests can sip and clink the afternoon away and enjoy delectable bites from Executive Chef Deborah Scott. Participate in activities like grape stomping, wine blending, blind wine tasting, and tons of games, all for the chance to take home prizes at the end of the afternoon. Tickets are $40 general admission and can be purchased here

CRSSD Fall 2019

CRSSD Festival is a two-day electronic music festival at the 12 acre San Diego Waterfront Park featuring three stages and 36+ performers. In addition to the music, the festival will offer craft beer, mixed drinks, food, and more.

San Diego Water Lantern Festival

Head to Chollas Park at 4:00 pm to feast your eyes on this dreamy event featuring thousands of lit lanterns floating on the water. The festival will also include music and food vendors. Tickets for adults cost $25 and include entry to the fest, plus one kit to create your own floating lantern. Tickets for kids – with the lantern kit included – cost $12.

16th Annual Dempsey Holder Ocean Festival & Surf Contest

The Dempsey Holder Ocean Festival and Surf Contest represents the local heritage of surf competitors and surf lifestyle, born out of Imperial Beach and stretching down the Pacific coast through Baja.  The contest begins at 7:00 am.

El Cajon Oktoberfest

German American Societies is celebrating October early as well with their own Oktoberfest. Enjoy the delicious authentic food, dancing, games, and contests, along with your favorite brews. The event starts at noon; entry is $5.

Yoga at The Pool House

Don’t miss yoga at the pool with New York City Marathon Charity Runner, Heather Lake and Lululemon ambassador and Resilience founder, Ryan Glidden. Ticket includes yoga class and 2 mimosas. $25 of each ticket to benefit the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation. Starting at 9 a.m. at Pendry San Diego.

Second Annual beWell Fitness Fair

Start your Sunday early from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the La Jolla High School Stadium. This family-friendly fundraiser features a fitness boot camp, yoga class, local vendors, live entertainment and opportunity drawing for guests to enjoy. Net proceeds will benefit the new Copley Psychiatric Emergency Department and affiliate programs at Rady Children’s, the region’s first emergency facility dedicated to children experiencing a mental or behavioral health crisis. The facility is scheduled to open in 2020.

Zoppè Italian Family Circus

Head to The Center of the Arts, Escondido and be amazed by the Zoppè Italian Family Circus. The show will take place in an intimate 500-seat tent for a one-ring circus that honors the best history of the Old-World Tradition. Starring Nino the clown, the circus features acrobatic feats, equestrian showmanship, canine capers, clowning and plenty of audience participation. Tickets for the show are $25-$40 and are on sale online at artcenter.org.

Fall Festival Kickoff

It’s finally Fall and the Rancho Guejito Vineyard is celebrating with live music, hayride tours, yard games, and food all day long starting at 11 a.m. Enjoy the day celebrating the new season and with family and friends.
