Friday, September 20

 J. Lohr Wine Dinner at Vintana

Vintana is hosting a wine dinner with none other than Paso Robles’s J. Lohr Winery. Join on Friday, September 20th from 6 – 9 p.m. for a 5-course menu featuring Curry Clam Linguine, Lamb Filo Parcel and Dark Chocolate Cherry Cake. For $80 a person excluding tax and gratuity, guests will savor these dishes alongside J. BOGO Surf Lessons at Everyday California

Everyday California, a La Jolla-based ocean adventure and apparel company is offering a BOGO (buy one, get one) deal on Sept. 20 for both private and group surf lessons, which are taught by professional guides on the coast of Southern California. Since obtaining a surf permit for the first time in May of this year, they have expanded their offerings beyond kayaking excursions and SUP rentals.

Escondido’s Cruisin’ Grand

Escondido’s long-running car show – Cruisin’ Grand – hits the streets once again. The free event features a parade of pre-1973 cars slowly cruising up and down Grand Avenue, from vintage American hot rods and classics to custom rides. The event also includes live music.

Coco (2017) at Pantoja Park

Come out and watch Coco in style at Pantoja Park starting at 6:00 p.m. There will be snacks available and fun field games while you wait for the movie to start. Get into the Halloween Spirit with this Pixar favorite.

Saffron & Sage’s Autumn Equinox Celebration

Saffron & Sage is celebrating its 2-year anniversary on Saturday from 11 am – 1 pm. Timed with the Autumn Equinox, the event will feature a variety of personalized wellness experiences including acupuncture, gua sha facials, reflexology hand massages, calming ear crystals and an exclusive Flower Essence Bar where guests can customize their own blends to take home. The event will also offer light bites, an Instagrammable photobooth and Snake Oil Cocktails for guests to enjoy!

Taste of South Park

Hallmarked by an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars and pubs, coffee houses and family dining spots, South Park is inviting neighbors near and far to its 2019 Taste of South Park from 12-4 p.m. With purchase of a Tasting Passport, guests can snack and sip their way along the 30th St. and Fern St. corridor, sampling from all participating South Park eateries. Guests will also get a taste of the diverse boutiques and shops lining the streets of South Park between bites. This is an all-ages, ticketed event, limited to 400 people. Tickets can be purchased online prior to the event for $35.

8th Annual Charity Yoga Event, Presented by One Love Movement

One Love Movement, a nonprofit centered around raising awareness and support to advance social justice will host its 8th Annual Charity Yoga Event on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Waterfront Park in Downtown San Diego. The event features a yoga class along with a guided meditation, a live concert and talk with singer-songwriter and guitarist Trevor Hall, a Kids Corner and the first-ever Wellness Garden. Guests will be able to enjoy food and beverage vendors, as well as massages. All proceeds benefit local San Diego nonprofit, Voices for Children, that transforms the lives of abused or neglected children by providing them with trained volunteer advocates, as well as the San Diego Rapid Response Network, that aids immigrant families in the San Diego border region, and the One Love Shelter in India, a shelter home to 17 boys in Bangalore, India. 

Bourbon & Bites 92119 Party at the Pioneer

The Pioneer is celebrating the community with their 92119 Party, taking place on September 21ststarting at 7 p.m. The ticketed event is priced at $30 per person, and consists of four food and drink stations situated around the restaurant, each serving unlimited bites by Executive Chef Hanis Cavin paired with a number of bourbon tastings. Each guest will receive a raffle ticket at the door, all of which will be entered into a drawing taking place every 30 minutes throughout the event, with the chance to win a grand prize basket full of goodies. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the San Diego Fire Rescue Foundation, to help support the local Station 34 in the San Carlos area.

San Diego Festival of Beer

San Diego’s original beer festival is returning for its 25th anniversary all in the name of cancer-fighting charities. This event will draw an anticipated 1,500 craft beer lovers to Broadway Pier on Saturday September 21, from 12pm – 5pm to raise money for cancer-fighting charities. Tickets start at $40.

17th Vista Viking Festival

Experience the Viking life and Scandinavian culture at Vista Viking Festival, California’s Pemier Viking Festival and Norse culture event. Step back into the Viking age with activities like axe and spear throwing, archery, log toss, horn blowing competitions, and more. There will also be various shopping vendors, a kids zone, craft beer and mead! The event will be held at Norway Hall in Vista starting at 10:00 a.m. for $3.

Bayside Brew & Spirits Festival

National City’s third Annual Bayside Brew and Spirits Festival; A beer and music festival highlighting the unique culture of the South Bay community. Presented by the National City Chamber of Commerce. Tickets start at just $30, get yours here.

Adams Avenue Street Fair

The 38th annual street fair will take place on Adams Avenue where over 100,000 attendees will gather to listen to free music, enjoy food vendors, carnival rides, and a beer garden.

Sunday, September 22

ArtWalk Carlsbad 

ArtWalk Carlsbad is returning to Armada Drive for a second year to bring immersive art experiences, visual arts and live music to North County on Saturday and Sunday. Unique to ArtWalk Carlsbad, chalk artists from all over the country will create colorful, temporary masterpieces on the asphalt before guests’ eyes!

Dog Adoption Event & Fundraiser

Who doesn’t want to spend their entire Sunday playing with adorable pups? The Liquid Eden Holisitc Center will hosting a dog adoption event featuring 15 pups who are in need of homes. The event starts at noon.

Harvest Festival

The Harvest Festival is a chance where you can purchase costumes and get ready for fall. The event will be held in the Balboa Park Club and Ballroom starting at 12:30 p.m.

Coronado Music Festival

Celebrate your Sunday afternoon at the Ferry Landing Marketplace starting at 1:00 p.m. Enjoy the live music and tasty treats as you enjoy the sights and the company of  other San Diego locals.
