ArtWalk Carlsbad Returns for a Second Year

By  |

ArtWalk Carlsbad is returning to Armada Drive for a second year to bring an immersive and exciting art experience complete with visual arts and live music. Taking place on Saturday, September 21, and Sunday, September 22, this fine arts festival featured a wide range of incredibly talented artists and creatives showcasing their work.

ArtWalk Carlsbad is a sister festival to Mission Federal ArtWalk in Little Italy and ArtWalk at Liberty Station. ArtWalk Carlsbad is unique in that it showcases chalk artists from all over the world. These marvelous artists create stunning temporary masterpieces exploding with color right on the asphalt before guests eyes.

The Festival will include live entertainment, with a special performance by songwriter A.J. Croce. A wine and beer pavilion will be on site, as well as a variety of street food vendors serving up tasty treats and snacks. Nearly every medium of art will be on display, including painting, sculpture, glass work, fine jewelry, photography, and more. There will also be a family-friendly interactive experience called KidsWalk, so all ages are able to get in on the fun.

“Each year we bring the community together to celebrate fine arts in San Diego and support local, national and international artists through ArtWalk San Diego’s three annual events. With the addition of our newest fine arts festival, ArtWalk Carlsbad, we provide artists with a chance to connect with art enthusiasts from North County and throughout Southern California in one weekend.”

Sandi Cottrell, Event Director

“Attendees will also love the one-of-a-kind chalk art that will fill Armada Drive and the wide array of art displayed and for sale directly by the artists. With scenic, breathtaking ocean views and cool breezes, ArtWalk Carlsbad is a must-visit event for art collectors at all levels!”

ArtWalk is held in support of their non-profit partner, ArtReach, which is dedicated to delivering high-quality art education to K-8 schools throughout San Diego. The organization focuses on Title One Schools that have no other resources for art. Many of the programs provided by ArtReach are at no additional cost to schools in need, providing a valuable outlet for children to reach their creative potential.

ArtWalk Carlsbad will run from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019, and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2019. Tickets are on sale now starting at $10 for one-day passes; and $15 for weekend passes at $15. For more information, head over to https://artwalksandiego.org/carlsbad/
