Summer is coming to an end and that means celebrating all weekend long. Enjoy yourself at the local musical performances or relax at the local yoga and booch session. Come out and explore San Diego while it’s still filled with sunshine and summer-time festivities.

Friday, August 23

Crazy. Stupid. Love (2011) at Rooftop Cinema Club

Rooftop Cinema Club will be showing Crazy. Stupid. Love. (2011) at 8:30 pm atop Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego. With its stunning views of the city from every angle imaginable, Rooftop Cinema Club is revolutionizing the movie-going experience in its unique and one-of-a-kind setting underneath and among the stars. Open to adults 18-and-over. Ticket prices start at just $17 per person for a single deck-chair underneath the moon and the stars. Get your tickets here.

San Diego International Kids’ Film Festival

Bring your kiddos out to the local kids’ film festival at the Carlsbad City Library, where your little ones can watch over 150 films with 30 being from other countries.

Food Truck Fridays

Start the weekend right with all of your favorite cravings and live entertainment. Come down to Balboa Park Visitors’ Center from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. for some summer fun. Get stuffed up on your favorite treats while enjoying good company.

Princess Tea Party at The Westgate Hotel

Dreams will come true at The Westgate Hotel on Saturday, August 24, as they host another magical Princess Tea Party. Little ones will have the opportunity to sip tea like a royal with their favorite princesses complete with songs, a princess oath, and a special photo opportunity.  Meanwhile, the Westgate’s renowned afternoon tea will be served, complete with signature house-made pastries, desserts, premium teas, and delicious kid-friendly beverages. The event will take place from 2:30 – 5 pm in the Versailles Ballroom. The price is $99 for adults, $65 for children ages 2-12 and complimentary for ages one and under. Prices include tax and gratuity. Special event parking is available for $10

Live at the Lake: Yachtley Crew

Enjoy tasty food and live music as your whole family comes out to rock out at the Live at the Lake event, starting at 3:30 p.m. Bring your favorite blanket and get set up picnic-style as you enjoy the warm summer breeze and your favorite treat.

One Paseo’s Summer Sundown

Celebrate the end of summer with a Summer Sundown hosted by One Paseo on Saturday, August 24 from 4-7 pm. The event, which will also serve as a toast to One Paseo’s newly completed Plaza West and the retail portion as a whole, will feature family-friendly activities and treats throughout the afternoon, including art sessions, balloon making, cotton candy, photo opportunities, and more. The event will conclude with a concert featuring “America’s Got Talent” alums Us the Duo. The concert will begin at 6:00 pm in One Paseo’s Plaza West. The Summer Sundown event and concert is free, all ages, and open to the public. 6th Annual Bayside Gospel Concert aboard the Midway

The 6th annual Bayside Gospel Concert aboard the Midway returns this weekend. The benefit concert is held to honor and recognize the selfless sacrifices of our military and their families all over the world. A portion of all ticket sales will go to support military veterans via the Food Bank of San Diego’s military outreach, and to provide subsidized tickets to the concert for pre-identified military families for their selfless sacrifices and serve.

San Diego Spirits Festival

The two-day 11th San Diego Spirits Festival features a weekend of cocktails and lots of entertainment. The festival will include Live Entertainment,
Bartender Battles, Chef Demonstrations, Exclusive VIP area. The festival is happening at the Port Pavillion on Broadway Pier.

Yoga, Booch, and Brunch

End your weekend with a relaxing yoga session while sipping on Kombucha at brunch. Start the day on a positive and healthy note while entering into a total state of relaxation. The Boochyard will be hosting this event starting at 10:30 a.m.
