This weekend, San Diego closes out Beer Week and kicks off another incredible festival, the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival. Ride the festival train into the nation’s top week-long culinary and wine event! This weekend brings us sunny skies and high temperatures in mid-November. Aren’t we lucky? Take a look at what else is happening in America’s finest city, and make the most of this lovely weekend!

Friday, November 8

San Diego Beer Week

Spend the remainder of SD Beer Week brewery hopping and trying the latest concoctions of the city’s finest beer connoisseurs. Head to Circle 9 Brewery for their Stoute Ice Cream Floats from 12 pm-10 pm. Pure Project will release its Log Cabin Barrel Aged Breakfast Blend, made with maple syrup and cocoa. Fortune Feimster at the La Jolla Comedy Store

Enjoy a cocktail and a good laugh at the La Jolla Comedy Store with Fortune Feimster. The Southern comic from North Carolina and has made quite a name for herself as an actor and stand-up comedian. Tickets are $25; show begins at 7:30 pm.

SnowJam

SnowJam is San Diego’s biggest ski & snowboarding expo taking place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The 3-day expo will have a huge equipment & clothing sale, free & discounted lift tickets, and vacation & prize giveaways. Admission is $19 online for adults 14 & up), and $22 at the box office. Parking is $15 per car, per day.

Two Door Cinema Club

Catch alternative band, Two Door Cinema Club perform live at The Observatory North Park with Peach Pit. Doors open at 7; show begins at 8.

San Diego Bay Wine and Food Festival

The country’s highly anticipated week-long festival celebrating the very best in food, wine, and culture returns to America’s Finest City on November 10-17 at the stunning Embarcadero Marina Park North. With the gorgeous San Diego Bay providing a breathtaking backdrop to the week’s festivities, expect to have a truly unforgettable experience filled with endless libations and innovative culinary dishes. This year’s festival hosts over 40 unique events happening around San Diego, each offering the latest trends in spirits, food pairings, and more. From informative seminars, discussion panels, cooking classes, sophisticated cocktail hours, elaborate dinners, and everything in between, here are the can’t miss events of The San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival.

Cali Love Music and Arts Festival

10 Barrel Brewing Co. is throwing its first-ever Cali Love Music & Arts Festival to celebrates beer and the local San Diego community. Enjoy 20 different beers on tap, nine local indie rock and reggae bands on three stages, live art demonstrations and more at the East Village brewpub. The Festival will kick off with a scenic rooftop yoga class from 12 – 1 p.m. and live music will be bumping from 2 – 11 p.m.

SoCal Turkey Paddle

From 8-2 pm, the SoCal Turkey Paddle will feature a 5k race, relay, obstacles, and more. For a $40 ticket, attendees will receive a t-shirt, food voucher, paddleboard or kayak rental for all three races. All proceeds will go toward San Diego State Adapted Athletics. The event will be held at Bonita Cove, off of Mission Bay Drive.

Beachside Fall Fest

From 5-close, the 8th annual beachside fall fest includes at Belmont Park includes the ultimate festive fall experience. The park will be filled with autumn leaves, hay bales, harvest pumpkins, and live entertainment. Veterans and first responders will be recognized at the beachside fall fest, including two free unlimited ride passes. Must join an insider club online for the offer and present an emailed coupon with a valid military or employment ID at the ticket office. Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live

Rev up those engines because Monster Trucks live is back this weekend at Pechanga Area. The famous Hot Wheels will be brought to life for a full-sized, kid-focused show. Adult tickets start at $30, and kids’ tickets cost $8. Gates will open at 10 am and the show will be between 12:30-7:30 pm.

Sunday, November 10

Weekend Science Club

Join the Fleet Science Center the second weekend of each month as they offer a variety of hands-on activities for children. Sessions are filled with an array of different fields of study such as chemistry, engineering, environmental science, physics, robotics and much more. Bring your kids to the fleet center from 1-3 pm – for just $15 they can enjoy fun-filled activities while learning about scientific exploration.

Fleet Week Open House

Honor those who served our country with a series of fun events and entertainment at the Embarcadero. Free ship tours will be available for the public. There will be a military family tailgate, golf tournament, and many more activities. An open house at the Coast Guard Sector will also take place from 11-3 pm where a helicopter search rescue demo will take place.

Bubble Soccer

Enjoy a game of soccer in a giant inflatable bubble! Bubble soccer allows others to be more competitive without receiving red flags as you can legally bump into one another during the game and get away with it. Be apart of this game, Sunday from 2:45-4:45 pm at Liberty Station NTC Park.
