San Diego’s Top November Events

Put on your turkey hat and get ready to run turkey trots all over San Diego County! If you are not much of a runner, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with other fun events happening this month including wine festivals, music festivals, skating by the sea and thanksgiving feasts.

2019 Guild Fest – Nov. 2

San Diego Brewers Guild is back at the Embarcadero! Join other craft beer lovers for an afternoon full of unlimited beer samples from your local breweries. General admission is $50. Must be 21+.

Day of the Dead Old Town – Nov. 2-3

Old Town’s Annual celebration of history, culture, and heritage returns November 2-3. From 10:30 am -9 pm there will be face painting, live entertainment and 25 of the best Mexican style restaurants in San Diego. The event is free and open to the public.

San Diego Bay Food and Wine Festival – Nov. 9-17

This 9-day festival features dozens of events, hundreds of domestic and international wineries, craft beer and spirits, and local and nationally recognized culinary legends. View a list of events here.

Wonderfront Festival – Nov. 22-24

Head over to Broadway Pier for 3 days of good music and good vibes from artists like Miguel, Migos, MGMT and more. Festival is from November 22-November 24. A single day pass is $79 and a three-day weekend pass is $239. Must be 21+ to attend.

Skating by the Sea – Opens Nov. 22

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, Christmas is right around the corner and San Diego is ready to ring in the holiday cheer. The yearly Skating by the Sea pop up ice rink will open on November 22nd at the Hotel Del Coronado. Skate by the sea and enjoy a delicious cup of hot chocolate, served daily. Save $5 by purchasing tickets ahead of time online. All proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish foundation. You can also reserve a spot for 4-6 at the Frostbite lounge where you can enjoy a fire pit, full beverage service, and snacks for 90 minutes.

18th Annual Father Joe’s Turkey Trot 5K – Nov. 28

Put your turkey hat on and get ready to run San Diego’s 18th Annual Thanksgiving Day 5K happening from 6:30-11 am. At 6:30 am registration will begin followed by a pancake breakfast for $5 a plate. At 7:40 am the fun runner race will begin and 5 minutes prior to that the speedy turkey timed race will begin. Run with a team or register to run by yourself here. Post-race festivities include live music, a beer garden, and an optional meet-and-greet with your favorite Disney-inspired character. All proceeds will go towards the Father Joe’s village program serving to those experiencing homelessness.

Encinitas Turkey Trot – Nov. 28

The annual Encinitas Turkey Trot begins at 7 am on Thanksgiving Day. Start your holiday fun walking or running through beautiful Encinitas along Coast Highway 101. The 10K and KidsK will begin at 7:40 am and the 5K run/walk will begin at 8 am.

Hornblower Thanksgiving Buffet Dinner Cruise – Nov. 28

Enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner aboard the Hornblower. The boat will start boarding at 3:30 pm and will take off from 4- 6 pm. Adult tickets are $136 each and children ages 4-12 are $82 per ticket. Enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne, coffee, a full traditional dinner buffet, and live music. View full menu items here.
