Monster Bash’n into Halloween

Halloween is just around the corner, and it’s time to start planning your night out with your friends. It’s the time of year where you can be anything you want, and this holiday is celebrated in numerous ways in San Diego. Monster Bash is one of the biggest events happening during Halloween weekend in San Diego, and it’s time to indulge in the festivities that this spooky holiday has to offer.  Even though Halloween is on a Tuesday this year, it doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate all weekend long. On October 28^th make your way through Monster Bash as you interact with the San Diego locals and dance the night away at multiple stages and DJ’s.

There will be 5 different stages, delicious food, and spooky drinks up for purchase. Monster Bash for the last 17 years has transformed down town San Diego into the biggest Halloween celebration of the month. This year there will be new surprises such as a total revamp of the Death & Decay stage for the costume contest. Get creative and think of the best costume that your mind can create, and get serious because the first prize winner wins 2,500. The second place winner will receive $1,313 in cash and $666 for third place. There will be other small cash prizes for  other winners, so make sure to be unique and to stand out.

There will be different types of music at each stage showing off anything from hip hop to EDM. Make your way through the event with your best friends and dance at as many stages as you can. Michelle Gomez says, “Last year I got a hotel room with all my friends and went to Monster Bash for the first time. It was so much fun to explore the different themed stages and to see everyone else’s costume. I can’t wait to go again this year and Halloween is my favorite time of year so I can’t wait to celebrate.” This is the perfect place for friends to gather and for people of all ages above 21 to enjoy a night out in San Diego while celebrating the spooky holidays.

Monster Bash is one of the biggest Halloween block parties in California and has rightly earned this title.
