Former Bachelor Chris Soules Arrested
The former star of both The Bachelorette on Andi’s season and as the 19th The Bachelor, Iowa native Chris Soules was arrested last night for leaving the scene of a deadly car crash that he was involved in.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Soules was driving a truck that rear-ended a tractor on the highway around 8 p.m. Monday night. Both the truck and tractor veered off the road and went into a ditch, where the driver of the tractor died. When law enforcement arrived on the scene, Soules had left. They later found him at a friend’s house and spent hours obtaining a search warrant to get Soules to come outside.
Soules’ behavior in this situation is unlike any that we have seen of his on television. Known for being the sweet and genuine guy, the All-American farmer, Soules was not cooperative with police after the accident.
Court documents say that alcoholic beverages/containers were found at the scene of the crash. Soules has also been convicted of operating a vehicle while intoxicated in 2006.
Safe to say Chris won’t be appearing on Bachelor in Paradise this summer if he is convicted of this felony. His court date is set for next week on May 2nd, with bail set at $10,000 bond.
