By  |

This weekend there are a lot of fun and exciting events to attend. There will be no complaints of having nothing to do this weekend after reading our list of events. No excuses on why you should sit on the couch doing nothing, when you can enjoy a wide array of fun things to do on such a beautiful weekend. We have brew events, beer festivals, musicals, walks, volunteering and more.

Whiskeys of the World

Come have a drink with us at the  Whiskeys of the World Pairing Dinner. The event will be held on Friday, March 30th at the Westgate Hotel’s Fontainbeau Room. According to the event site, Ed Adams, a renowned Whiskey Master, will be there to explore with us the exquisite  flavor and wonderful aroma of each whiskey. Adams will give his audience a captivating discussion on the history and folklore of some of the world’s best whiskeys. The reception will start at 6:30PM, followed by Dinner at 7.

2012 San Diego Brew & Crew

Join us for a beer tasting tour with the San Diego Brew & Crew at Mission Bay Park’s Ski Beach. The event will be presented by 102.1 KPRi and Karl Strauss and will go from 12-3pm on March 31st and April 1st. When you pay for admission the ticket will give you entry to ten beer tastings and a free souvenir cup to test out the beer. There will be over 20 Southern California craft breweries as well as food and live music. For musical entertainment, the event will have Zach Heckendorf and Everest for Saturday and Garbo and Eric Hutchinson.

Third Annual Mission Valley Craft Beer and Food Festival

Want to drink to a good cause? Then go to the Third Annual Mission Valley Craft Beer and Food Festival. The Festival will be hosted at the Handlery Hotel & Resort on Sunday, April 1st from 1pm to 5pm. There will be local food, beer, and some nice live local music. Proceeds from the event will go towards the Wounded Warrior Home Foundation; a non-profit organization that helps those who have served our nation and have been been either medically discharged, with Traumatic Brain Injury, or suffered Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. So while you’re there you really will be drinking to a good cause. On the event site there is a list of breweries that will be attending and of course serving out the beers. The list includes: Mission Brewery, The Beer Company, Lighting Brewery, and more. Their site is available for registration and donation.
