This Weekend in San Diego 10/13-10/15

San Diego is getting ready for Halloween with spooky activities and making sure that there is something to do at every moment of the day. From scary scream zones to haunted hotels, San Diego is making sure that the locals get into the Halloween spirit.

Every single day during the week and the weekends from 12pm-12am you can be a part of the Haunted Scavenger Hunt at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Restaurant. Starting at 40$ you can be a part of the Haunted Puzzling Adventures and get into the true spirit of Halloween. Take these tours at night in order to get the full effect and an intense adrenaline rush. This activity is scavenger hunt and a competitive race while also being a fun and interactive tour. You will learn new information and become an expert on terrifying information. Put a kick into your usual Friday night and give yourself a little scare while interacting with all your friends.

Keep your scary weekend going with the Scream Zone at the Del Mar Fair Grounds starting at 7pm every single day of the week and the weekend. Complete with a Ferris wheel, interactive games, and adorable animals that will give you comfort when you experience the horror at the SCAREgrounds. There will be a House of Horror with themed rooms that are sure to frighten you along with a surprise ending. There will be a Haunted Hayride where you will be followed by questionable objects and terrifying zombies. The last attraction includes a spinning tunnel called the Karnevil. Along with surprises and terrifying nightmares, this is the perfect place to see who is the bravest out of all your friends.

Take a tour through one of the most haunted places in America at the Haunted Hotel. This building has been featured on “America Haunts IV” and is officially in the top 13 of the scariest haunts. See terrifying porcelain dolls and other creepy things that you only see in your nightmares. Starting at $19 you and your friends can make bets on who will be the first one to run straight out of the hotel in fear.

On October 14th and 15th, you can be a part of the West Coasts biggest indoor showcase that shows off photographs, art, jewelry and other hand made items that you won’t be able to resist. Make a day of it at the Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show and enjoy the the country music from Mary White Band and crack some laughs with comedian John Park.

 Take the whole family out for an interactive day at the Family Fall Festival this entire weekend at Guardian Angels Church. There will be a beer garden for he adults and craft booths for the kids. Other activities will include karaoke and a raffle that could have you walking away with $3,000. Enjoy a BBQ dinner on Saturday night and make this event something that your entire family can be a part of together and create new memories.

If you love new films and exploring this specific industry, try stopping by the Shdwsofdust at the Charity Wings Art & Craft Center in San Marcos. This is the first solo showcase of digital and film projects that will also feature a piece called “Love Me to Pieces” that shows self reflection. Be a part of the film and creative magic on Friday October 13th at 5pm.

Art is common theme in San Diego this weekend. Make your way down to the Art Glass Guild Fall Show and Sale this Sunday starting at 8am. This is the largest glass exhibit and show in Southern California. Be exposed to new art techniques that have to do with glass and explore new local artists in San Diego.
