San Diego Summer Concerts 2010 you can look forward to

The sun is out and San Diegans have an eventful summer to look forward to.  If a vacation isn’t quite on the budget, perhaps a concert is. This season is about taking a break from the normal routine, and with hundreds of celebrities, performers and musicians coming into town the chance to cut loose is available.

Lucky for locals, San Diego is a music-lovers haven. The city offers an array of different concert venues and this summer each one of them is offering something appealing for any audience. Whether it is country or hard rock, hundreds of talented artists are scheduled to perform in San Diego.

Performing this season is Kings of Leon. This alternative rock band went nine-times platinum with their most recent album “Only by the Night” released in late 2008. Their hits “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody” were consistently on top of the charts. The single “Sex on Fire” won the group a Grammy in 2009. The popular group will be coming to San Diego July 9.

Singer-songwriter and pianist Elton John will be making his way to San Diego July 24 at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater. His recent works include the album “Rocket Man: Number Ones” released in 2007 and is scheduled to release the album “The Union” in October 2010. The iconic musician recently made headlines as he performed for 400 guests at Rush Limbaugh’s wedding June 5, at the cost of $1 million.
