New Rolling Stones Album Coming Soon

By  |

Keith Richards just teased that The Rolling Stones are coming out with new music in the most recent installment of his web series, “Ask Keith Richards.” This album will follow their 2016 blues covers LP titled Blue & Lonesome. Though there hasn’t been much information released about the content of the album, we are excited nonetheless.

On Keith Richards’ Q&A, he revealed some vague information about what’s to come. Richards couldn’t believe the amount of success and praise the band has received from Blue & Lonesome. He said that the success of Blue & Lonesome “caught us a little bit by surprise,” which assumes the potential of an “inevitable volume two.”

On the other hand, Richards didn’t necessarily say that the new music would be out soon, but he noted how fun it was to record in the studio. “It’s such fun to record, and there’s plenty more where that came from” He said. “I just think the Stones have used it as a boost to their energy and viability in this day and age and see what we can come up with next.”

You can find more insight on his Youtube channel.

Further confirmation of new music from The Rolling Stone was from rapper/grime artist Skepta. Skepta posted an Instagram photo of a collaboration with Mick Jagger recording in the studio. However, there wasn’t any information on when this collaboration would be released or where it would be shown.

We will let you know more about The Stone’s new music once we know. In September and October, they will be hitting continental Europe for another round of stadium shows and will start in Hamburg, Germany. Also, they are releasing a new book-DVD package, Rolling Stones on Air in the Sixties, this coming September, which is an accumulation of the band’s radio and TV performances from the last 10 years.
