Game of Thrones Premiere in Los Angeles

By  |

It’s safe to say Winter is officially here, considering Los Angeles literally transformed into Westeros for the Season 7 premiere screening of HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones.’ The city of Angels hosted the highly anticipated Emmy-winning show’s premiere with a “Winter is here” theme.

In fact, the exterior of Walt Disney Concert Hall was coated in “snow,” which was enhanced by an icy blue carpet as opposed to the standard red color. Additionally, life-size sculptures  and posters of the characters surrounded the outdoor scene. It was the perfect setting for the official premiere of ‘Game of Thrones’ season 7.

Furthermore, almost all of the actors were at the premiere and talked to reporters on the icy blue carpet. In fact, Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Kit Harrington (Jon Snow), and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) were all seen discussing the show with reporters and fans alike. Additionally, an orchestra performance of GOT music, conducted by the show’s composer Ramin Djawadi was specially played at the premiere.

Unsurprisingly yet hilariously, the season opener asked that viewers of the premiere to pledge a no-spoilers clause. An audio warning asked that all “lords, ladies, wildlings … and CAA agents” must refrain from sharing anything about the episode to those of who have to wait until Sunday. The warning also posed that the viewers, “”pledge my honor to the Night’s Watch and all nights to come — until Sunday.”

After the episode, guests enjoyed an open-air party on the roof of a parking garage, which also had a “winter is here” theme. At the party, there were white (stilt) walkers and a larger than life head of the Night’s King. Clearly, it was a dream party for any GOT enthusiast.

The show will officially premiere this Sunday (9 ET/PT). If you’re a true fan, make sure to get your goblets of wine ready to properly celebrate.
