Amazing Celebrity Weight Loss — How do they do it?
Jordin Sparks, the 21-year-old plus-size model turned American Idol winner has revealed her new, slimmer figure to the world. Showing off her incredible body, Sparks posted a picture of herself wearing a two-piece polka dot bikini on twitter. She wrote, “I don’t know why but my bathing suit reminds me of fruity pebbles. : ).”
Sparks started working out in 2009 and first showed off her new figure in March just in time for the release of her third album which will be coming out in a few weeks. She attributes her weight loss to her personal trainer whom she started working with in 2009. She discloses her exercise routine to US Weekly, stating, “I’ve been hiking and I’ve done a couple of runs. I also do Zumba. It’s so much fun!”
Another American Idol alumnus who has been shedding off the pounds this year is none other than Jennifer Hudson, the Oscar-winning actress who went from a size 16 to a 6. Hudson claims that looks were never the first priority in her weight loss. Rather she wanted to create a good example of healthy living for her son David, born in 2009. She claims her secret to her weight loss is Weight Watchers which just last year Hudson became the spokesperson for.
Joining the pack of weight loss headliners this year is former Disney star Raven Symone. Like Hudson, Symone claims that she has always been confident in her body, telling PEOPLE magazine, “I thought I looked fabulous before and nobody else did.”
The “That’s So Raven” star however, does not seem to have the same level of confidence as Sparks in showing off her body. She admits that “Actually, now I wear bigger clothes because I don’t like the way people stare at me. I liked it before. Now, you’re just looking at me for the wrong reasons. Before, you were actually looking at me for a real reason.”
Symone attributes the ending of “That’s So Raven” to her weight loss stating that the stress of the show caused her to gain weight. With the stress of the show off her back, she now leads a more relaxed lifestyle and can watch her eating habits more carefully.
