Pharmly

Pharmly is a first of its kind pharmaceutical marketplace aimed at combating drug shortages. Pharmly is designed to drive down healthcare costs and foster small business through its competitive bidding platform. In other words, Pharmly is an E-bay for pharmaceuticals that connects hospital purchasers with secondary wholesalers. It’s matchmaking for pharmaceutical buyers and the wholesale suppliers who have the drugs they need. The site already has 16 hospitals and four vendors signed up.

Mogl

Mogl is an app that rewards customers for dining at select restaurants in San Diego. Users can receive cash back, or points that can be used toward hotel stays or flights. Mogl also has its hands in the non-profit sector: users can opt to donate all or some of their cash-back reward to local charities. The founders of the company say that they created Mogl because they felt existing rewards programs lacked fun and imagination. Mogl says that thousands of restaurants from local favorite Hodad’s to chain restaurants like Jack in the Box are participating in the rewards program. Another self-reported company milestone: The app has donated more than 761,000 meals to the needy.

TakeLessons

TakeLessons is a website that lets people search for certified teachers offering all different kinds of lessons in specific disciplines, such as dance, foreign languages and music. You simply type in what kind of lesson you would like to learn and enter your ZIP code to get a list of the closest instructors. Users can sort by reviews, cost or distance.
