Healthy Alternatives to Coffee

By  |

A cup of coffee a day makes your headaches and grouchy mornings go away. Although, if you are trying to take a step back from your coffee addiction to see if something else can satisfy your cravings, you’re in luck. There is a copious amount of alternatives to your usual cup of coffee, and whether you’re trying to cut coffee out completely or simply switch it up, there are always other ways to get your energy fix.

Nutty Smoothies can help boost your energy and allow your blood sugar to rise, giving you a boost of much needed endurance. Nuts balance the sugar levels in your body and give you energy without the uncontrollable anxiety and shakes that is unavoidable with coffee. You can eat nuts alone as a snack, or make a delicious smoothie to satisfy your cravings.

Orange Slices are also another way to eat your caffeine. Oranges contain high contents of Vitamin C, which helps with the oxygen circulation throughout the body, allowing you to feel less fatigue. Oranges give you an instant surge of energy, allowing you to get a quick fix to your afternoon drowsiness.

Tea is another warm and tasty drink to replace coffee in the mornings, specifically Licorice Tea. Even if you don’t enjoy the taste of Licorice, this tea is perfect for everyone, due to its repairing properties and ability to wake you up without the caffeine. That’s right, there is no caffeine in this tea, since this tea’s job is to prepare overworked adrenal glands, which are organs that are directly related to stress. The sweet and spicy aromas will make your taste buds tingle and creates a unique blend that will increase your performance through out the day.

Chai Tea, my personal favorite, still has caffeine, but not nearly as much as coffee. Chai tea has just the right amount of caffeine to give you energy, but no so much to where you can feel your heart beating out of your chest. Chai tea has natural remedies that help your digestion, immune system, and has antioxidant properties. You can spice up your chai with vanilla, cinnamon, or nutmeg to add overall flavor to your new favorite beverage.

One of the best things to replace your morning cup of Jo is. This healthy alternative tastes just like coffee, just without all of the side effects. Positive side effects include aid to your digestive system, and of course the fact that your taste buds wont even tell the difference between Teeccino and coffee.

Switch up your morning routine and see what your new favorite addiction will be!
