With the summer weather coming in hot this weekend, expect a promising agenda of weekend activities. Enjoy dancing under the moonlight, watching a movie at the beach, or dining opportunities at an outdoor festival. Whatever you decide to do, make sure to attend one, if not all, of these events this weekend in San Diego.
What to do This Friday
Do you like to dance? Specifically salsa? Dance under the stars this Friday evening at The Headquarters in Seaport. Fortunately, there is no partner or experience required to participate in the unique dance setting.
This family-oriented event takes place this Friday from 7 am to 10 pm. Amidst the backdrop of a beautiful sunset, enjoy watching Sing as you share kettle corn with your family and friends. Make sure to get there early because the first 50 guests get free tacos and quesadillas.
Don’t Miss Out on These Events on Saturday
Comedy Show Featuring Norm MacDonald
You don’t want to miss this show featuring Saturday Night Live alum Norm MacDonald if you love to laugh as much as SD Entertainer does. First, purchase tickets, and then make sure to head to The American Comedy Company at 7:30 pm this Saturday night.
From 11 am to 10 pm, you have the opportunity to go to San Diego’s taco fest at one of the most beautiful venues for concerts in San Diego, Waterfront Park downtown. Taste delicious tacos, listen to live performances, watch chihuahua races, and view wrestling matches this weekend.
On Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm, attend the Del Mar Plaza Saturday Market. With artisanal baked goods, 30 unique boutiques, wine and craft beer galore, you can’t go wrong with this event.
San Diego County Credit Union hosts the 21st annual Festival of the Arts this coming Saturday in the lively and hip North Park. From 11 am to 10 pm, you can enjoy various forms of art; such as, interactive areas and live demonstrations. Additionally, you can cruise down the Craft Beer Block to enjoy some beers of San Diego’s favorite breweries.
Day Long Yoga Based Retreat
With all of these festivals that involve dining and drinking, you might be longing for a more relaxed Saturday. Possible, even some self-reflecting. Encinitas is hosting a day long yoga-based retreat that will actively engage participants in soothing activities for the mind and body. Make sure to get tickets soon!

From 9 am to 5 pm, enjoy yet another festival rich in culture. There will be live entertainment, arts and crafts for the little ones, and international food for your friends and family to try.
Attend the noteworthy musical, Escape to Margaritaville, this Sunday. The musical features classic Jimmy Buffet songs interwoven with original songs that will keep you at the edge of your seat. Make sure to purchase tickets as soon as you can. The show plays through July 9th, so if you can’t go this weekend, check it out another time.
