Lady Gaga taking Beyonce’s place at Coachella

By  |

After the recent and devastating news about Beyonce’s pregnancy interfering with her act at Coachella, we have been anxiously waiting for the reveal of her replacement. Fortunately, the wait is over and Lady Gaga announced she will be the new headliner at Coachella 2017.

Lady Gaga announced she will be the new headliner by tweeting, “Let’s party in the desert!” The post inevitably went viral and her excitement transcended among her fans and followers. Golden Voice, Coachella administrators, also announced this Tuesday night. So, indeed, it is confirmed that Gaga will excitedly headline Coachella 2017 for both weekends (April 15 and 22) at Empire Polo Grounds in Indio Calif.

Though Beyonce’s doctors orders were upsetting, Gaga’s crazy personality and unique performances are enthralling. She is a pop sensation and this genre of music will also diversify the current lineup for this year’s Coachella. Additionally, Gaga will be the first female to headline Coachella since Bjork in 2006. Because of this matter, Coachella organizers claimed it was significant for them to find a female artist.

Gaga has plans for a summer 2017 Joanne World Tour starting in August and Coachella will be a respectable pre-game for the festivities. At Coachella, she will be accompanied by the other headliners Kendrick Lamar and Radiohead. With a high-profile lineup like such, this year’s Coachella will be a festival worth seeing, to say the very least. If someone were to say this wasn’t an all-star line up, Gaga might have to ask them to repeat that with a “pokerface.”
