Family Fun in San Diego

Spending the whole day with your family exploring San Diego is the perfect way to adventure without leaving the city. Family days and quality time together is something that will be treasured, and you need to make sure you provide the right entertainment for your kids so that everything goes smoothly. Luckily for you, San Diego has endless events and places you can go that are perfect for your family day of fun.

Take your children to see the 3,500 different animals at The Safari Park for day of adventure and big smiles. There are different tours that you can be a part of, to ensure that your day at the zoo if full of activities and as many different animals as possible. You can fill your whole day with animals, delicious food, and unique tours through out the park. From shows to shopping to your children’s favorite mammals, birds, and other animals, your day will be nothing short of extraordinary. Make sure to plan your day ahead of time so that you can follow your set plan to ensure that no time is wasted, and to make sure your little ones are always entertained.

No matter how old or young your children are, there’s no way they won’t enjoy a fun ferry ride to Coronado for a day of shopping and warm sunshine. Enjoy your day shopping at many unique stores on Coronado, and enjoy your scenic travels there on a 15-minute ferry ride. Bring your bicycle on the ferry and plan on biking around the island and having a relaxing day with your family that will make your quality time unforgettable.

If you want to take your kids and family out for a day of educational and historical adventures, make sure to go to the Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma. This monument honors Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo and his accomplishment of coming to the San Diego Bay in 1542. This was the first time an explorer adventured through the West Coast and this monument is a reminder of where this city came from. Make sure to plan this day in advance, and to be sure to take advantage of all the adventure and history this monument has to offer. The Old Point Loma Lighthouse is also a part of this historic attraction. The light house has been in our beloved city since 1855 and is the highest point at the historic park. Educate yourself on your home city and enjoy all of the scenery that this special park has to offer.

If you want to spend the day exploring the sea life of the ocean, the intimate Birch Aquarium can be your source of adventure. If you want a day away from the busy city life and the loud excitement of San Diego, the Birch Aquarium allows you to explore in a smaller setting with your family by your side. There are interactive exhibits and you can see the ocean from the patio of the aquarium. Your children’s faces will light up as they explore the touch pools where you can watch your kids splash their hands around in a tide pool replica. Enjoy a soothing and exciting day at the aquarium with your whole family, and your kids will be begging to go back very chance they get.
