On Valentine’s Day, Union Kitchen & Tap in Gaslamp is offering a three-course menu at $95.00 per couple. For the first course, couples will get to choose a starter to share. Enjoy delectable dishes such as the West Coast Oysters served with a quail egg yolk, masago, yuzu ponsu and topped with shiso; the Charred Octopus grilled with a black garlic puree and served with a warm frisee salad and crispy shallots; or the Roasted Bone Marrow with curry bread crumbs, pickled radish, grilled baguette, and chili threads.
Make a toast with a special wine pairing for the second course. The entrée choices for couples to choose from are the Coco Rubbed Wagyu Sirloin, a seasoned steak served with a smoked sea salt hasselback potato, fried brussels sprouts, and black truffle butter for flavor, or the Roasted Striped Bass served with a squid ink lobster risotto, tapenade, confit tomato and uni buerre blanc.
For a sweet fix to finish off a romantic dinner, Union is offering two different dessert dishes as the third course for couples to share. Couples can choose between the Godiva Chocolate Dome, a rich chocolate cake with raspberry coulis and vanilla ice cream, or the Strawberry Cheesecake made on a buttered graham cracker crust with a chocolate dusting and topped with a micro mint.
Reservations for the Valentine’s Day three-course meal are highly recommended. To reserve your spot, call Union Kitchen & Tap at 619-795-9463. The Valentine’s Day pre-fixe dinner menu will start at 5:00 p.m. on Feb. 14.
