Recipe – The ‘Wake Up San Diego’ Smoothie
Let’s face it, most San Diegans are always on the run, trying to beat morning traffic on the way to work or zooming to campus to get a parking spot. A forgotten breakfast turns into a Red Bull and some muffin that is days old from the liquor store down the street, but it doesn’t need to be that way! Next time that you are in a hurry, whip up this smoothie that is packed with nutrients and tastes wonderful too!
- 1 frozen banana, halved
- a handful of fresh blueberries
- 1-2tbsp of organic peanut butter
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup silken tofu
Super simple…throw it all in the blender, blend it up, pour it in a portable mug, and scoot out the door!
