Hot New Concept Restaurants Coming to San Diego

San Diego is home to some of the best restaurants in the nation, and this spring, we’re due for some seriously cool concept dining experiences opening. Check em’ out below.

Ways & Means Oyster House – La Jolla

A seafood concept serving up fresh sustainable seafood, with signature dishes like the Ways & Means Oysters, served with a signature champagne mignonette and lemon, or their lobster roll with Maine lobster and mango coleslaw.

The Butchery – Del Mar

This full service butcher shop will be opening in Spring 2019, and will offer customers specialty meats like dry-aged beef and wagyu, along with specialty made sausages, charcuterie and artisan cheese, all produced in house.

Blade 1936 – Oceanside

A new modern Italian eating concept restaurant with featured items including house-made Napoli style wood fired pizza, semolina pastas, innovative desserts, and fine crafted cocktails.

Louisiana Purchase – North Park

This new intimate cocktail restaurant draws inspirations from the charm and character of New Orleans with a NOLA -inspired menu featuring dishes like savory Alligator Cheesecake, Andouille Fried Red Beans and Rice with Chipotle Mouse, and Fried Redfish with Crawfish Etouffee Sauce.

Herb & Sea – Encinitas

Opening this year, Herb & Sea will be a “social dining” concept, featuring a menu based around shareable items. The restaurant will revolve around a nautical theme, with a focus on sustainably sourced seafood.

Morning Glory – Little Italy

This new brunch-centric spot will be opening this Spring in Little Italy. Morning GLory will feature a pastry bar, custom cocktail carts, coffee bar, and more.
