Whenever a fast-food restaurant chain takes away an existing menu item, customers tend to freak out. This is exactly what happened when Chick-Fil-A decided to remove the Spicy Chicken Biscuit from the breakfast menu, making fans not very happy.

Loyal chicken lovers have showed their disbelief in the announcement through Facebook and Twitter and even threatening to boycott the brand all together. Although the restaurant is receiving threats and backlash caused by the sandwich being taken off the menu, Chick-Fil-A is sticking to their decision.

The restaurant has assured fans that the restaurant is not trying to move away from their classic menu items, but relay that it is important for menu’s to change and add new items to keep the menu fresh.

Chick-Fil-A is replacing the beloved spicy chicken biscuit with a healthier option called the Egg White Grill.  The new sandwich will have grilled chicken, egg whites, and cheese atop of a toasted English muffin. After getting rid of the Cole Slaw not long ago, it seems as though the chain is moving towards healthier options for their fried chicken menu.

Chick-Fil-A’s breakfast menu is a major part of the chain, and the owners want to ensure that the menu items reach the needs of a variety of guests. The brand believes that the Egg White Grill will bring in more health conscious customers.

With spicy chicken lovers upset over the new integration, many fans are excited about the new menu item and welcome healthier alternatives in fast food chains.

Chick-Fil-A has caused an uproar in the past with anti-gay, and religious statements that caused many fans to stop eating at the popular chain. It seems as though no matter what Chick-Fil-A does, fans are quick to attack the chain.

The new sandwich will roll out Monday morning, allowing Chick-Fil-A goers to be the judge of the newest menu item. Though, after receiving so much backlash from one sandwich, it’s clear that the brand shouldn’t mess with its chicken.
