9th Annual Harvest Celebration at The Prado
The 9th Annual Harvest Celebration of Food and Wine takes place this Thursday, October 15 from 5-9pm at The Prado Restaurant in Balboa Park. This annual event is a joint effort of The Prado Restaurant and the Balboa Food & Wine School. The evening’s theme will be a celebration of abundance and the bounty of the vineyards, fields, and oceans.
Sample wines from around the globe and meet local winemakers as you indulge in cuisine created by The Prado’s Executive Chef Jeff Thurston, 2005’s Chef of the Year. Additional delicacies include chocolates and pastries created by Executive Pastry Chef Francesco Santoro. Some of San Diego’s best local brews will also be featured and this year’s event will offer something new in the form of a Chef Grill-Off competition where guests will get to vote on their favorite dish.
