It may not be as big as Coachella, but the Stagecoach country music festival has been gaining fans year after year. The fourth annual festival will take place this Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25 in Indio, CA at the Empire Polo Club, the same venue as Coachella. Headliners include Keith Urban, Toby Keith, Brooks and Dunn, and Sugarland.

Stagecoach is billed as California’s country music festival which brought in 100,000 attendees last year and a lot more are expected this year. Tickets are still available. For $129 you can purchase a weekend general admission pass or for $89 you can get a single day general admission ticket. There are also reserved seating VIP tickets available.

Keith Urban will debut at the festival on the “Mane stage” on Saturday night. Known to non-country music fans as actress, Nicole Kidman’s husband, Urban is a country superstar in his own right. He has been in the country music scene for a decade now and has a series of Platinum selling albums to his credit. His latest album is “Defying Gravity” which includes current hit single “Til Summer Comes Around.” Urban is currently nominated for two CMT awards and has won numerous honors over the span of his career.

Sunday night’s headliner is Toby Keith, an artist with a career that started in the early 90s. Keith had the number one country song in the 90’s and in 2000. All of his albums have reached Gold or Platinum, selling a total of 30 million albums overall. Keith has had 19 number one songs and 16 songs in the top ten of country charts. His current single, “Every Dog has its Day,” from his latest album “American Ride,” is quickly climbing the Billboard country charts.

Other acts at the festival will include: Jason Aldean, Billy Currington, Phil Vassar and more than twenty other artists and bands ranging in music genres from mainstream country to bluegrass, folk, roots rock and alternative country.

DJs will also play a big part in the festival this year with the High Plains Mixer which will host three “high profile” DJs mashing up country music with electronic sounds. There will also be a mechanical bull and human hamster wheel along with other various physical activities. The event is all part of the non profit organization, Global Inheritance’s power sources demonstration.

The Stagecoach country music festival is sure to be an exciting and innovative event so don’t miss out on attending this unique celebration.
