Concerts to Attend in April

San Diego has some great names coming to town in April, at venues around the city. Check out some of the shows going on below. All shows are all ages unless stated otherwise.

House of Blues

Shinedown, April 3rd

Doors: 7:00 — Tickets: $39.50+

Presented by Rock 105.3, Shinedown is set to put on a stellar show, with their recent release of their most powerful album yet, Threat to Survival. The rock group has support from As Lions and Cold Kingdom.

The Maine, April 8th

Doors: 6:30 —  Tickets: $22+

Catch this Arizona alternative group on their Lovely, Little, Lonely Tour, the tour celebrating their sixth full-length album of the same name. The band will be supported by the Mowglis and Beach Weather. The new album is set to release the day before the show, so it’s safe to say this Saturday night with the Maine will be a party.

TECH N9NE, April 17th

Doors: 7:00 — Tickets: $35+

The Strictly Strange tour hits San Diego with artists like Brotha Lynch Hung, Krizz Kaliko, Stevie Stone, and Ces Cru backing TECH N9NE. It’ll be a solid night of hip-hop and dancing.

Lil Wayne, April 20th

Doors: 7:oo — Tickets: $25+

Lil Wayne is set to perform his Kloser 2 U Tour in San Diego in just a few weeks. The iconic rapper will take the stage without any support, and on a fitting day to do so. The tour only has a few dates, so don’t miss out.

The 1975, April 25th

Doors: 7:00 — Tickets: $29+

Winners of this year’s BRIT for best artist, The 1975 is back at the open air theater next month The group performed at this same venue just last October, and surely will put on another amazing show with their iconic set and stage light show. Buy tickets soon, as they’re almost gone!

SOMA

The Head and the Heart, Sunday April 9th

Doors: 7:00 — Tickets: $36

The legendary punk and hardcore venue will host the mellow and alternative/acoustic band in April. Spend your Sunday night swaying back and forth to romantic and dreamy sounds. Dreamers are set to open the show.

Valley View Casino Center

Green Day, Saturday, April 8th

Doors: 6:30 — Tickets: $30+

Supported by Against Me, partying with iconic punk rock band Green Day is a solid Saturday night. Relive the early 2000s again on the Revolution Radio Tour and sing along to the songs you loved back in the day. Since Green Day has been playing shows since the 80s, they’ll know how to have a good time.

Chance the Rapper, April 24th

Doors: 7:00 — Tickets: $89+

The three-time Grammy-winning rapper is kicking off his spring tour in San Diego! Tickets sold out almost immediately after they went on sale earlier this year, but you can find some on other ticket websites for a little more money. You won’t want to miss this insane and entertaining show that Chance is known for with hits from his winning album Coloring Book.

All sorts of bands of all sorts of genres are playing San Diego next month and these are only a few. Check out one of these shows, or search other venues around the city for more great concerts.
