The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Starring Miley Cyrus

By  |

Miley Cyrus was the star of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night. She began the night in a panda suit, then belted out some old songs in the NYC Subway with Fallon. After, she even demonstrated her “on the fly” humorous personality in a series of Google Translation renditions. Cyrus has always been known for her goofy sense of humor, and she definitely embraced it last Wednesday.

To begin the show, Cyrus appeared in the ‘Hashtag the Panda’ costume, and pretended to trick Fallon before the show really began. She said, “it’s all me all night, everybody” as she revealed herself. Since she was dancing so much in the costume, Fallon could barely get a word in and we knew the rest of the show really was going to be Miley all night.

Next up, Cyrus ventured from the glamorous stages she is used too and performed on the platform underneath Rockefeller Center. Fallon and Cyrus dressed in disguises, however, it was evident who Cyrus was with the cowgirl hat and distinctive features. On the other hand, Fallon, or should we say, “Bart,” did not look like himself one bit. Crowds quickly shaped as they began with the classic tune, ‘Jolene.’ Afterwards, the pair sang a rendition of, “Party in the U.S.A.” and fans even joined the amusement.

Furthermore, Cyrus showed her humorous personality and vocal talents during her google translate renditions. For us, the highlight of her renditions was, “Ed Sheeran’s hit “Shape of You.” The title she was given was “Your Body’s Curves,” which tuned Sheeran’s e”I’m in love with your body” to the hilariously creepy, “I like that cadaver.”

From dressing up in a panda suit, to making an underground Subway her stage, to showing off her witty weirdness, Cyrus clearly was a hit last night. Tonight Fallon welcomes Ethan Hawke and Lorde to the limelight, and they certainly have a tough act to follow.
