By  |

The official date for Marvel’s Inhumans was recently confirmed. ABC announced that the first two episodes will premiere globally in IMAX theaters on Sept. 1. ABC will have ownership of the rest of the show, starting with a two hour debut on Sept. 29.

On Sept. 29, new content will be added to the episode and every week after will be shown on television. Essentially, the debut of the first two episodes in IMAX is a way to hype up the rest of the season. In fact, this is the first time a show has ever premiered in an IMAX theater before actually airing on television, so we are looking forward to it. You should be too!

Stemming from a Marvel comic book series, this television series is expected to be jam-packed with both action and humor. It will follow an inhuman Royal Family with super powers, all of which are of a hidden race. If you want an in depth explanation of the comic and these altered characters, check out IGN’s guide to everything you need to know about the inhumans for a thorough guide to everything you need to know.

This unique comic book inspired show will star popular actors and actresses. For example, Game of Thrones and Misfits alum Iwan Rheon is going to play Maximus. Maximus’ brother and star of the show, Black Bolt, will be played by Hell on Wheels‘ Anson Mount. More notable stars of the show include Serinda Swan (Graceland), Eme Ikwuakor, Ken Leung (Lost), and Isabelle Cornish.

Inhumans will air almost a whole month after the two episodes are revealed in IMAX theaters on Sept. 1. From Sept. 29 on out, the show will air on ABC on Fridays at 9 p.m ET/PT. Get excited for the new and suspenseful Marvel inspired show by watching the first teaser trailer below:
