Pretty Little Liars Finale: A.D. is Revealed

By  |

And just like that, the seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars has come to a close. In the season finally of PLL, more twists and turns occurred than we could’ve imagined, and we finally found out who the mystery A.D. is. However, there are still mysteries we realize will never be solved, but that’s just how the cookie crumbles in this series.

Spoiler alert: If you haven’t watched the season finale of PLL yet, do not read forward.

Though there have been an abundance of rumors about who the real A.D. is, and Spencer’s  Troian Bellisarios) evil twin sister has been a myth for the majority of the season, the rumor finally became a reality last night. A.D, standing for Alex Drake, met Wren Kingsington (Julian Morris) by chance and learned of Spencer’s existence. Clearly, A.D. was jealous of Spencer’s circle of friends and love life; therefore, she decided to go completely crazy.

In the finale, titled “Till Death Do Us Part,” Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) were ready to get married, until Ezra never showed up. The group of friends then came to realize that the mysterious A.D. actually captured Ezra.

Due to the wedding, there were plenty of throwback characters revealed and flashbacks to old episodes. Most interestingly, some of the flashbacks consisted of scenes of A.D., not Spencer, which widened the twists and turns.

Though the show, which debuted in 2010, ended with five young and female best friends planning for a reunion and one running off on a honeymoon, there are still unanswered questions. For example, how did Mona get Mary and A.D. to Paris? How did A.D. kill Wren?

We will never know, and didn’t expect anything less from this mysterious and addictive series. All and all, it was a great ending to a witty series and we will miss it.
