Newest Addition to Krispy Kreme – Reese’s Doughnuts

Do you like Krispy Kreme? Do you like Reeses Peanut Butter Cups? If the answer is yes to both of these questions, you’re in luck. Two of the richest and most delectable treats are coming together to create the one and only Reese’s Peanut Butter Doughnut. Make sure to leave a couple minutes early for your morning commute tomorrow, because Krispy Kreme is finally selling this delicious doughnut at all locations in the US.

The decadent doughnut will be “filled with a Reese’s Peanut Butter Kreme filling, dipped in chocolate icing and topped with a chocolate and peanut butter drizzle, and Reese’s Mini Peanut Butter chips and peanuts,” according to the Krispy Kreme press release.

Additionally, Jackie Woodward, Krispy Kreme’s chief marketing officer got us even more excited for the newest addition to Krispy Kreme stores in the US. “The matchmaking of chocolate and peanut butter is a delicious combination that consumers have enjoyed for generations,” she said. “In partnering with The Hershey Company, we’re satisfying an intense desire that Krispy Kreme and Reese’s fans never knew they had.”

These doughnuts have been made before, but never sold in the US, so we are definitely excited to finally taste them. Krispy Kreme first sold them in Australia and the UK last year, and teased their US customers ruthlessly. Instead of producing this type of doughnut, US Krispy Kreme stores focused on partnerships with other brands.

Last year, they paired with a multitude of coffee-partnering confectionaries. For example, they made the “OMGhirardelli” chocolate doughnuts, which were very popular amongst Krispy Kreme fans. They also made a Nutella-dipped cocoa ring and a Power Range themed doughnut.

Unfortunately, these doughnuts are only going to be sold for a limited amount of time, so make sure to get them as soon as you can! Trust us, you donut want to miss out on your opportunity.
