HGTV hit show, Flip or Flop canceled

By  |

For some reason, we started to think 2016 was done delivering bad news. Well, we were wrong. Just one week after Flip or Flop stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa announced their split, HGTV just announced that the popular TV show will end in 2017.

After an intense fight between the couple back in May, the couple has been living separately and dating other people. Despite their split, they announced that they will still be continuing their professional relationship together. Which, to be honest, would probably make the show pretty awkward, but we all cheered at the fact we would still be able to binge watch Flip or Flop.

After the announcement, HGTV vetoed the couple working together and announced that the show will soon end. The renovation show will continue to air in 2017 to fulfill the couple’s contractual obligations, but will not continue on to the next season.

Tarek and Christina El Moussa also host classes called Success Path Education, which at a high price, will teach people how to flip houses and make a living, just like Tarek and Christina.

The classes have been controversial in that people will pay upwards of $2,000 for 3 days’ worth of classes, and not receive much insight into the renovation world. As of right now, we are unsure whether the classes will continue even after the HGTV episodes stop airing.

The question is now, what will be next for Tarek and Christina. Solo HGTV episodes? Fame and wealth for Christina? What show will replace Flip or Flop on HGTV?

I guess, we will soon find out. RIP to a great TV show, and to an admirable couple. We will miss you.
