Disney’s Secrets Out, Former Employee Must Stay In
Bonnie Hoxie was the assistant to Disney’s head of corporate communications and reportedly leaked information to her boyfriend about the company’s financials. Her boyfriend, in turn, shared the numbers with 33 hedge funds and other investment companies through anonymous letters.
Many of the firms who received the letters got in touch with the FBI and Hoxie’s boyfriend has been sentenced to more than 2 years in prison and Hoxie must stay in her house for 4 months.
Domino’s Pizza Delivery Saves the Day
When Susan Guy didn’t hear from a regular pizza customer for 3 days in a row, she made a complimentary house call and in doing so, saved a life.
82-year-old Jean Wilson from Memphis, TN has been ordering a large, thin-crust pepperoni pizza and two diet cokes every day for the past 3 years and Guy has been delivering them. When Guy showed up at Wilson’s door unannounced and no one responded, she proceeded to pound on the doors and windows. Guy was familiar with the routine as her own mother, who is fighting cancer, has been found on the floor at times after falling.
Guy then called 911 and the paramedics responded to find Wilson floor bound and in need of assistance. Wilson is said to be recovering well and will be going home soon.
