Daniel Craig is James Bond Again
Daniel Craig is officially returning as James Bond in the upcoming movie, Bond 25, to come out in 2019. Back in 2015, Craig said that he didn’t want to play the part anymore, so this may come as a surprise to many. However, rumors have collected over the past couple months that Craig would return.
Daniel Craig confirmed that he would play the part of James Bond on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ on Tuesday night. Colbert asked Craig if he was going to return for the part of James Bond and Craig replied, “yes” before he stood up to shake his hand. Even though this is the first time Craig has announced his role officially, he did say he has known for a “couple months.” He also apologized to the people who interviewed him that day because he refused to comment.
Back in 2015, Craig specifically said that he would rather “slash my wrists” than make another James Bond movie, so this news might come as peculiar to some. Even though he said many harsh comments like these about the role over the past several years, he told the audience on ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ that he was genuinely excited and apologized for what he said in the past.
He also said that he was due for a much needed break after the last Bond movie. “We’ve been discussing it, we’ve just been trying to figure things out,” he said. “I always wanted to, I needed a break.”
Daniel Craig also said, “I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.” We can’t wait for 45-year-old Daniel Craig to play the role of the British super-spy, also.
Bond 25 comes out November 2019. We will let you know further updates and details on the film as soon as we know.
