Blade Runner 2049 – New Trailer

By  |

Another trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Blade Runner 2049’ has hit the Internet at full speed, literally. Judging from both of the trailers, and especially the new one that came out today, the new ‘Blade Runner’ will closely follow the plot in Ridley Scott’s original film. However, there will obviously be more special effects and new actors to look forward too.

The official trailer was first seen on ‘Good Morning America’ and has since been highly anticipated. From the first scene, we quickly realize the future doesn’t look so bright for California in the year of 2049. In the midst of terror, the words “No one can outrun the truth” flash in a bold red between each alarming scene. Also, it ends with Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) fearfully saying, “The future of the species is finally unearthed.”

In addition to Harrison Ford, another vital character in the upcoming movie is Officer K of the LAPD (Ryan Gosling), who might actually be the one capable of saving humanity. In the trailer, one can assume Gosling’s perseverance despite the terror looks assuring, however, we won’t know until later this year.

We are also looking forward to Ridley Scott’s promise that an un-filmed scene from the original film would appear in the sequel.  With this official trailer, we now can see that Scott wasn’t kidding when he promised this. Clearly, this is going to be a film you don’t want to miss.

Paul Sammon’s novelist of the book, “Future Noir: The Making of Blade Runner,” created the storyboard sequence and a YouTube user brought it to life. Here’s the sequence, which is the pitched opening scene for 2049 and was also the pitched opening for the original film.

Watch the official trailer below and get excited for the upcoming film, ‘Blade Runner 2049’ to come out later in the year:

The film will officially be out October 6, 2017.
