San Diego Weather – Snow and Surf report

By  |

After Monday’s storm passes, sunshine will be the general rule for San Diego. With occasional scattered clouds breaking up the brilliant blue skies early this week, the middle of the week will be especially nice, with temperatures soaring into the 70s. The rest of the week will see slightly cooler temperatures and the occasional cloud, but the region should remain dry and free of rain.

Temperatures will range from the mid 70’s to the lower 60’s during the day, before dropping into the mid to low 50’s at night.

Surf conditions should be stellar throughout the week, courtesy of the dry weather. The sunshine and cloudless skies during the middle of the week will be perfect beach weather, so make sure to hit the sands early and often.

Surf Conditions

Water Temperature: 60 – 58

The generally beautiful weather and waves surpassing six feet make this week an excellent one to go surfing. Local beaches will likely be packed so make sure to stake out your spot early.

Big Bear Conditions

Heavy moisture this winter has damaged Hwy. 330, one of the main routes into Big Bear, so make sure to seek out alternative routes until it reopens in a few weeks. The snow cover remains far better than what is normal for April, making for great skiing and snowboarding well into the month. Make sure to take advantage of this abnormally long snow season.
