Getting personal with your finances – financial advice from Steve Sexton

This week the radio show, “Winning in Life”, featuring Steve Sexton, President of Sexton Advisory Group and Director of the Financial Knowledge Institute, is not one to miss. The show airs every Sunday morning at 9:00 on KBCQ 1170 AM, and week after week brings us all of the information we need to really “win in life.”  Steve Sexton offers his abundant knowledge of all aspects of financial planning and trouble shooting and pulls in guests to talk about anything else that you might need. Already in his first few shows he has featured some of his friends from around the world who have offered their knowledge of traveling, health, charity and much more.

Steve started out with a personal story this week to illustrate the importance of asking personal questions in financial planning. He wanted to let listeners understand that financial planning is more personal than just giving money to a man in a suit and waiting to see how it does in the mystery market that he decides on. There are so many more factors involved in making intimate financial and life decisions and Steve wants to make sure that everyone takes the time to fully harness the potential of their investments.

This week  Steve  addressed the concerns of listener  Millie from Carlsbad. Millie’s question was submitted through Steve’s website www.winninginliferadio.com, where she was also gifted with a $50 american express gift card. Her multi-layered question invovled advice on where her husband and she should go next in their process of retiring and selling their business. They expressed concerns about the high capital gains taxes they were not prepared to pay.
