What to Expect During the 2019 Wildflower Season
This spring in California is shaping up to be a spectacular time for wildflower blooms. Usually a rather rare and unpredictable experience, wildflower blooms can attract thousands of peoples to the outdoors to witness such a stunning beauty.
Wildflower blooms can happen in many areas, but they are typically most striking in desert climates. They typically occur when an area gets a high level of precipitation after a years-long drought that results in the elimination of grasses and weeds that suck up nutrients in the ground. If you want to go out and experience these incredibly captivating blooms, many California State Parks are the areas you’ll want to head to. Before heading out, remember to download a map of the park so you can have some bearing as to where you are. If you’re taking your vehicle out there, be mindful of the terrain and research if
