San Diego happenings on the Fourth of July

Once again it’s time for the Fourth. This annual celebration of our Independence will be commemorated by parades, festivals, and the display of pyrotechnics in our beautiful San Diego night sky. Here are some spots to enjoy the Fourth throughout the county:

* Annual Big Bay Boom July 4 Fireworks Show * Where: Along San Diego Bay * When: July 4, 2014, 9:00 p.m. * What: Biggest show around with 4 launching sites floating in the Bay. * Music: The Walrus (105.7 FM) *

* Camp Pendelton Beach Bash * Where: Del Mar Beach on Camp Pendelton * When:  July 4, 2014, all day * Who: Military members and their families *

* Julian 4th of July Parade * Where: Along Main Street from Julian High School to Frank Lane Park, Julian, CA * When: 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. * NO FIREWORKS *

* San Diego County Fair 4th of July Celebration * Where: Del Mar Fairgrounds – 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard, Del Mar * When: July 4, 2014, Fair opens at 9:30 a.m.; Fireworks at 9:00 p.m. * What: Opening ceremony honoring patriots at 9:30 a.m.; Hometown Heroes Parade at 7:00 p.m.; Navy Band Southwest concert at 8:00 p.m *
