2018 Guide to Easter Events in San Diego

With Spring in full swing, the Easter celebrations will be happening across San Diego this weekend. Here are some fun options for you to choose from if you’re looking for some exciting events for Easter weekend.

Eggstravaganza at the Birch Aquarium – March 31 – April 1, 11 am to 3 pm

The Birch Aquarium will be hosting an “underwater egg hunt” along with craft festivities. Bring your kids around to experience a totally unique Easter celebration. There will be appearances by the Scuba Bunny and as well as an Easter themed dive show. The event will start at 11:00 a.m. and the cost is included with the aquarium admission.

Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt at the Hotel Del Coronado – April 1

There are multiple Easter events happening at the iconic Hotel Del Coronado on Sunday. There will be a luxury Easter brunch in the Crown Room and Ballroom that will include live music, free-flowing champagne, and a wide rage of international cuisine. The Easter Bunny will be on-site for pictures with the kids. Easter egg hunts will take place between 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Times are based on age, so be sure to check their website for more information. Reservations are recommended for the brunch and egg hunt to solidify your spot.

All Aboard for the Bunny Train – March 31

This is a great event for those looking to have a traditional Easter egg hunt, where you will board a train heading to the Pacific Southwest Railway. The hour-long train trip will take you through the gorgeous east-county mountains. Bunny Rabbit will be coming along for the ride, and an easter egg hunt will take place. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event at the Campo Depot.

Easter Brunch Buffet at the Cosmopolitan – April 1, 10am – 3pm

Come out with friends and family and enjoy some delicious food in San Diego’s oldest hotel and restaurant. There will be live acoustic jazz to accompany your meal, while enjoying this historic setting.

Easter Brunch Cruise on San Diego Bay – April 1, 10:30am

Do something unique for your Easter celebration while spending your day on a luxury yacht. Sip on a complimentary mimosa while enjoying the gorgeous setting of the San Diego skyline. Their will be a wide variety of food served during the cruise along with the brunch buffet. This will include made-to-order omelets, fresh baked desserts, and even vegetarian options. La Jolla Spring Egg Hunt – Mar 31, 10am – 12pm

This is one of the best Easter egg hunts taking place around San Diego. Head to the La Jolla Recreation Center on Saturday, March 31. There will be thousands of eggs hidden throughout the area for children, along with crafts and more. The egg hunts will be separated by age group, and will be happening every half hour. Tickets will be $5 per child.

Mission Beach Easter Bash – April 1

Something for everyone at Mission Beach’s Belmont Park – Easter egg hunts, (FREE!) photos with the Easter bunny, or brunch at Draft, you wont want to miss this fun-filled family event. Just $5 to participate in the park’s egg hunt for kids over 12 (under 12 – FREE) Bring the whole family for an Easter at the beach you wont forget.
