Lobster is in season this summer at The Palm

By  |

Most people probably didn’t know that June 15th was National Lobster Day. But the folks at The Palm did. To help celebrate that tastiest of delicacies, The Palm decided to create not to just celebrate for just a day, but an entire season!

This summer they’re offering a very special deal that highlights lobster, and it extends all summer long. To which there is only one comment, and that is – yummy! One of the best things about the summer specials is that they are very affordable.

One option from the menu is a hearty prix-fixe option which offers a starter, lobster entree and side dish for just under $55. Or enjoy the lobster for two which includes a 4lb jumbo Nova Scotia lobster served with butter and lemon, two starters and two sides. Dinner for the two is only $99, which is an unbelievable deal for that quality and quantity of food. More than likely you won’t be able to finish all the Lobster, so plan to take a few ounces home (boy, does that make a scrumptious omelet!).

The best news is that both offers are available June 1 through August 31st.

For those of you who don’t know The Palm’s background, The Palm Restaurant is part of a very famous and successful restaurant group that was founded in New York in the 1920s. In 2005, the San Diego location opened at 615 J St., and the rest, as they say, is history. We asked our ‘sources’ and it’s clear the Palm is a traditional steak and seafood restaurant that’s survived culinary fads by providing quality food, quality ingredients, and a upscale, but very welcoming environment that keeps regulars coming back.

‘Management’ told us, “The Palm Restaurant’s menu features honest, satisfying dishes that reflect the best of our Italian-American heritage – from prime aged steaks and jumbo Nova Scotia lobsters to Italian classics like Chicken Parmigiana and Veal Martini.”

It is absolutely recommended that you try the lobster, but you may not want to pass on the opportunity to try their incredible steaks as well. The New York Strip, served medium rare, was perfectly seasoned, bordering on the sublime! Top off your meal with The Palms’ great selection of wine to compliment the feast. They have a great Happy Hour as well, so be sure to check it out on your next visit.
