Father’s Day dining ideas: Five ways to make Dad glad

This Father’s Day, Sunday June 16, is all about making dad happy. And a well-fed pop is a happy pappy. Here are five ways to accomplish that:

Take dad for brunch on the newest, largest ship from Hornblower Cruises. Includes a two-hour yacht cruise on San Diego Bay, elaborate buffet, all you can drink beer, never-ending Mimosas, bottomless Champagne and a souvenir pint glass to take home.

The Big Bite Bacon Fest takes place in the Del Mar Arena at the San Diego County Fair. This event will showcase delicious samples of bacon cuisine from over 35 of the best chefs, restaurants and competitive cooks in San Diego. And to wash it all down, unlimited samples of over 50 craft beers from San Diego’s top breweries.

3. Brats and Beer on the Bay

Make this Father’s Day an unforgettable one. Go for a sail aboard the State’s Official Tall Ship “Californian”.fathersday3

Work the lines and handle the sails with the crew as you sail around the beautiful calm waters of San Diego Bay. The day begins with a souvenir photo followed by a quick meal. Each adult receives a delicious bratwurst sandwich, chips and a cold beer prior to sailing. Hotdogs and soft drinks are available for the kids. Guests are welcome to enjoy the museum before and after the sail.
