10 Barrel Brewing Co. Ups the Ante with Bottomless Beer Brunch

By  |

10 Barrel Brewing Co.’s San Diego brewpub is bro-ing up the brunch scene with an “all you can drink” beer brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Executive chef Tommy Fraioli created the new brunch menu with three classic breakfast dishes, including chilaquiles, a breakfast burrito and a breakfast sandwich. For $25 you get one brunch item and “all you can drink,” beers brewed by San Diego Brewmaster Ben Shirley.

Try the Chilaquiles with your choice of red or green salsa, scrambled eggs, onion, sour cream, avocado, smoked pork, corn tortillas and scallions. Or opt for the hearty California-style breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, french fries, cheddar, chile crema, guacamole, pico, salsa and a side of breakfast potatoes. My favorite? The Breakfast Sando with two eggs, spinach, marinated tomato, white cheddar, and basil aioli on jalapeno cheddar bread.

Their most popular beer is probably the Cali’ Love IPA, a traditional West Coast IPA. But for the day drinking session, you might want to try the lighter Chela Vida Mexican Lager, another crowd favorite.

The 9,000-square-foot dog and family-friendly brewpub in San Diego’s East Village features an expansive dining room with metal and wood accents throughout and an open-air rooftop bar. New additions to the lounge include shuffleboard, bean bag toss, a 70-inch television screen, a 12-foot projector and a modular live-music stage.
