JulietSimmsUCSDJuliet Simms, runner-up on Season 2 of The Voice, will be coming through San Diego on her tour. She’ll be stopping at Soda Bar on April 8th to perform a special acoustic set. The concert features Secondhand Serenade, Juliet Simms, Veronica Ballestrini and Belmont Lights.

If you didn’t watch The Voice last season, you missed out. Juliet is a powerhouse rocker whose raspy voice captivated not only her mentor, Ceelo Green, but the audience as well.  Juliet was the only contestant to chart during the competition. Both of Juliet’s renditions of “Roxanne” (The Police) and “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” (James Brown) reached #1 on the iTunes Rock Chart, and the latter track also landed the vocalist at #70 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

Since her appearance on The Voice, Juliet has been working hard touring. She has released a single called “Wild Child,” which she performed on The Voice in December, and has an album with Republic Records scheduled for release summer of 2013.

San Diego resident for over 10 years, I now call this beautiful city home. Originally from the Bay Area, I'm a California girl at heart. I love the outdoors, fitness, food, and a good craft beer (from San Diego of course).
