Aerosmith has officially announced the cancellation of their North American tour this summer. Lead singer Steven Tyler recently broke his shoulder from a fall that had occurred at a previous performance earlier in the month.

The injuries he sustained from the incident were the main cause of the canceled tour. Tyler’s physicians told him that he needed to take time off to recover from the injury. It seems that the recent mishap, in the already doomed tour, was the icing on the cake for the group.

The group themselves are very disillusioned, and apologetic to the fans. Ticket refunds will be honored to all fans that have been affected by the cancellation. Joe Perry, the bands guitarist, released a statement, saying, “Words can’t express the sadness I feel for having to cancel this tour.”

The unfortunate cancellation of the tour is a shock to many, and a disappointment to most. Hopefully the band will reassemble themselves in due time, and kick off another tour to payback their adoring fans.
