Floats, bands, horses, clowns, artists, balloons, Santa Claus and more were on display this Sunday in El Cajon’s 64th annual Mother Goose Parade. Despite the poor weather, the parade still had plenty of onlookers hugging the streets to enjoy ample entertainment.

Kate Middleton will drop her nickname, and soon become Princess Catherine. It’s got a nice ring to it, don’t you think? Well, not nearly as nice as the ring Prince William gave Kate upon his marriage proposal while vacationing last month in Africa. The ring once belonged to William’s mother, the late Princess Diana, and it’s an 18-karot, oval blue sapphire engulfed in diamonds.

Stranded cruise ship of 4,500 passengers getting towed to shore

Passengers stranded 200 miles south of San Diego off the coast of Mexico are being towed back to shore after the vessel lost power Monday when its engine room caught fire for reasons unknown. No one was harmed in the fire. Auxiliary power was turned on Monday evening to allow for cold running water.
Vasseur Day Spa honoring Luke Ausdemore with fundraiser November 10th

Luke Michael Ausdemore’s Memorial Fund is partnering with Vasseur Day Spa, voted the best spa in San Diego by Channel 10, for a fundraiser. Ausdemore died on Oct. 5, 2010 while diving for lobster in Mission Bay. The fundraiser will be Wednesday, November 10, 2010.
