What’s Coming to Netflix in February
This month, Netflix is bringing a buzzworthy lineup of new TV shows and movie releases. All of my fellow binge-watchers are in for a treat for this month, so here are the releases you definitely want to keep an eye out for.
Nightflyers – February 1
Based on the novella by Game of Thrones author George RR Martin’s, Nightflyers is a thrilling sci-fi horror series that has all the necessary ingredients – aliens, advanced spaceships, and crazy space action.
Velvet Buzzsaw – February 1
Jake Gyllenhaal stars in this thriller revolving around a crisis in the LA art world. With supernatural and horror elements, this is looking like one of the more unique Netflix releases this month.
Ray Romano: Right Here, Around the Corner – February 5
In his first comedy special in 23 years, Ray Romano tells jokes about surviving marriage. Ageing, and how to choose your friends.
High Flying Bird – February 8
Featuring breakout star Andre Holland as a high-powered sports agent, as he pitches a controversial business opportunity during a lockout. The whole movie was filmed on a smartphone, though you’ll be hard pressed to even be able to notice.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes – February 10
This action-packed sci-fi film pulls you in the second it starts, featuring award-winning actor Andy Serkis.
Dirty John – February 14
A drama based on the hit true crime podcast, Dirty John stars Eric Bana as conman and sociopath who deceives a vulnerable single woman.
The Umbrella Academy – February 15
A disbanded group of superheroes reunite to save their world after their adoptive father dies. The Umbrella Academy is based on the comics by My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way.
Chef’s Table: Volume 6 – February 22
This critically acclaimed food series is coming back to Netflix, showcasing the best of the best in the culinary world.
Get Out – February 24
The Oscar-winning horror film from visionary director, Jordan Peele, is coming to Netflix. When a young black man unearths a horrifying secret about his girlfriend’s family, he begins to question his safety during his visit.
