Wonder official Trailer

By  |

Lionsgate released the first official trailer for the movie, Wonder, and it is undoubtedly going to be a tear jerker. The film is based on the New York Times bestselling book “Wonder,” by  R.J. Palacio about a child who must go through 27 injuries and suffers from facial deformity. The film stars some of our favorite actors and is expected to come out this November.

Some of the actors include Owen Wilson, who plays the comedic yet protective father and Julia Roberts, a defensive mother who wants the best for her children. Also, the main character of the film who suffers from the facial deformities, will be played by Jacob Tremblay, who is best known for his role in ‘Room.’

‘Wonder’ tells a story about August, who is just about to start school for the first time and struggles to overcome facial differences despite the numerous surgeries he endures. With the unconditional support from his parents and sister, he ends up making friends but suffers from bullying.

From the trailer, we can expect that this film will assert that beauty comes from within through August’s role. Even though he doesn’t look like the rest of the kids in his class, it appears as though he blossoms into a hero we can all learn from by the end. Also from the trailer, it seems as though this movie is still going to be strategically humorous despite the sensitive topic at hand.

Unfortunately, the movie doesn’t come out until December, but make sure to read R.J. Palacio’s touching novel in the meantime. We definitely recommend this book as it not only teaches an important lesson, but is also hilarious. Also, it is told from many different character’s points of view, which makes it even more interesting.
