La Jolla Festival of the Arts returns June 20 – 21

By  |

The 29th Annual La Jolla Festival of the Arts returns June 20 – 21. This year will feature a new Surf Culture theme, bringing guests the finest in art, cuisine, live entertainment, and fun for the whole family. LJFA will feature 200 prestigious local and national artists showcasing their work in painting, sculpture, photography, glass, jewelry, ceramics, wood, fiber and mixed media.

For the past 28 years, this fine arts festival has brought the West’s most established and emerging artists to coastal San Diego, with proceeds benefiting sports and recreation programs for San Diegans with disabilities. As La Jolla’s first fine arts festival, LJFA has established a legacy of supporting local charities and organizations. One hundred percent of the net proceeds will be given to over 30 San Diego programs that empower locals and wounded warriors to live beyond their disability.

The festival has raised nearly $2 million in support of 30 adaptive sports programs through which over 40,000 people with disabilities have participated. Just last year, more than $157,000 was donated to these charities through funds raised at La Jolla Festival of the Arts.

San Diego resident for over 10 years, I now call this beautiful city home. Originally from the Bay Area, I'm a California girl at heart. I love the outdoors, fitness, food, and a good craft beer (from San Diego of course).
